My Five Fave Palettes


1. Pippa Palette by Blank Canvas


I probably got the Pippa Palette about a year after it was launched and even then it was hard to get my hands on. I was ever so slightly underwhelmed when I first saw it as all the shades were very blah. But it turns out blah is good, I am blah! There's six eyeshadows - all matte, a blusher, a bronzer and highlighter. This palette has all the essentials and as you can see it is well used! The colours are very natural and easy to wear, it really is a makeup bag must have.

2. Blank Canvas Master Series Palette One


Another fantastic palette from the Blank Canvas brand. I managed to pick up this palette at the Irish Beauty Show for €20, instead of the usual price of €35. It was a bit of an impulse buy but I certainly made the right decision. I'd say I've used this nearly ever day since I bought it. The orange/brown colours really suit my eyes and there's a decent selection of colours to mix things up a bit. I did notice that the colours in this palette are very similar to the Pippa Palette so I wouldn't be rushing to buy both.

3. Makeup Revolution Beyond Flawless Palette


Finally a non matte palette!! This palette is an absolute steal and the colours in it are so pigmented. Once again the colurs in this palette a very wearable, quite earthy. I'm not very brave with my makeup, I like to stick to what I know and this palette is perfect for that.

4. I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate Palette


I honestly didn't realise four out of these five palettes were eyeshadow palettes, I clearly pay more attention to my eyes doing my makeup! So not only does this palette look like a bar of chocolate it smells like one too!!! It's mainly the shimmery eyeshadows in this palette that make me love it so much. No surprises here that I've once again chosen quite natural colours, but they are highly pigmented and have a lovely almost creamy texture to them.

5. NYX Strobe of Genius Palette



This poor palette hit the floor about 20 mins after I got it. I managed to repair it to the best of my abilities so it may not look great but the product itself is amazing. And thankfully it's not an eyeshadow palette!  As you can see there's a nice choice of colours which I use as highlighters or blushers, or mix with other products. The glow from these highlighters are unreal and  can be used from head to toe!

Make Up by Polish Hand & Foot Spa

As you may have seen from my millions of pictures on Facebook & Instagram , I got my make up done! This is so exciting for me because it's something I never do! If I'm going to a salon it's usually for nails or a blow dry, I just never think to get my make up done! And why wouldn't I? I do my own make up decent enough.....but let's be honest it's never anything special. So I was only delighted when I was given the opportunity to have someone else do it for me! I was invited to Polish Hand & Foot Spa to get my make up done yesterday evening, and it was such a lovely treat!! First of all Polish Spa on Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin is a very chic salon run by Leanne and Emma. For me (and probably most other people) the interior of a salon really adds to the experience and Polish Spa did not disappoint.
