Taste Of Dublin

The minute I walked into The Iveagh Gardens I realised this was more than just your average farmers market. The place was filled with hundreds of food and drink stalls, each of which was just as inviting as the next. I instantly started spotting well known names such as Barrys Tea, Chapter One and Lidl.  As we made our way around the venue we found ourselves so overwhelmed with the amount of activity going on that we didn't even know where to look! Not only was there cooking demonstrations on but each area had some sort of entertainment as well as plenty of free samples. We made our way over to the main open grass area to plan our route. This area had a huge stage with a band playing. This was also one of the many areas where JustEat.ie were offering waiter service, if you were quick enough to grab a spot on the giant bean bags.  Picture from Taste of Dublin After we gathered our bearings we headed over to where the Whelans stage was, this large area was slightly separated from the

Summer Bucket List

Since my sister came home (from Canada, after three years) there's so many new places in Dublin that she wants to visit. Places she's seen me talk about or ' check-in ' to or places that have just become quite popular over the last few years, the one's that weren't here before she left. Basically all the places we want to go together. I've been to some of them and am dying to show her my new favourite spots. Others none of us have been to, but have heard great things. Most of the list is food or drink related, but sure isn't that how us Irish people socialise. So here's the list and I'll let you know what we tic

Sunny Day in Dublin

We are having such fabulous weather and yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the day out and about in town. I headed in with my sister and our other halves for a spot of brunch and a chance to show my sister some of my favourite spots in Dublin. Our first stop was Taco Taco , a casual Mexican restaurant which is a firm favourite for myself and Dean. Between the four of us we devoured a Homer's Brunch, Nacho's and Jerk Chicken Taco's all washed down with a jug of delicious and summery Rum Punch.  I was recommended by someone on Snapchat to visit J.T Pim's which is a new bar beside Taco Taco (Dame Court) and it was the perfect spot for outdoor drinks. It only opened recently and is well worth the visit. We sat outside but I'll definitely be returning to get a better look at the beautiful interior.  P.S...the mojito's were delish! After that we were in search of some sun! Dublin city center was looking like Costa Del Sol and with the temperature up at 23 degrees i
