The Body Shop Vitamin E Range

Image
A few months back I had a Body Shop voucher that was literally burning a hole in my pocket. I just had to spend it! So one evening I popped into my nearest branch and was ready to buy whatever, anything, I didn't really care. I just wanted new things and had the equivalent of €50 to play with. I think the Vitamin E range was new in store at the time (maybe 2-3 months ago) so my voucher plus some change got me three products. A cream cleanser, a night cream and a serum. The main product I wanted to try was the cream cleanser, as this is generally the type of cleanser I use, and I'm always on the hunt for good ones. This turned out to be my favourite product from the range and one of the best cleansers I have used to date! First of all it smells amazing, not too fragrant but still nice and fresh. The cleanser removed every trace of makeup without leaving any residue on my skin. And the bottle is a decent size too, so it lasted ages. Buy here for €14.50 After I used the cleans

How To Be A Savvy Shopper

Image
There's no denying I love shopping but I am by no means made of money! I am always on the look out for a good deal, and to be honest they're not that hard to find. Have a look below to see how I save on my shopping.... River Island There is always always always a River Island discount code! Never buy River Island full price! These discounts are usually for 20% or 25% off with purchases of over €50.The codes are usually published in magazines such as U Mag, Image, Stellar or Grazia. I always post the codes on my Facebook page and Snapchat (@jenniferdevitt) but follow The Bargain Buyer and Just The F Word as well, as they always post discount codes too. ASOS Asos are very generous with their codes as well, their codes usually only last for a day or a weekend, but a discount is still a discount! So keep an eye on their website. And don't forget Asos stock New Look, River Island, Boohoo and Warehouse, so if you're after something from the high street, check Asos as wel

Giving Blood for the first time

Image
So this blog post is a bit of a different one, but after giving blood for the  first time ever  last weekend I thought I'd share my experience, and put any other first timers minds at ease. So if it's in the back of your mind to give blood and you are nervous about any aspect of it, let me fill you in on exactly what you can expect. My first piece of advice is arrive early, I arrived to the clinic 15 minutes before it started and there was still a few people ahead of me, so be prepared to wait! Once it's your turn, you'll be called to a desk and be asked basic details like your name, address, date of birth etc. This takes two minutes and then you'll be given  general information on blood donation  a questionnaire to fill out. The questionnaire has about 50 questions asking about your health, recent travels, drug use and sexual activity. The questions are pretty personal (like have you had sex with a man who has had anal or oral sex with another man?) but obviously t

SunKiss Tan First Impression

Image
It's no secret that I'm a fan of fake tan. I have a press full of mousses, liquids, lotions and sprays but I still love trying new products! Ireland's newest tanning brand SunKiss Tan  sent me a bottle of their medium/dark tanning mousse to try. To my delight they also included a double sided velvet tanning mitt for me to apply it with (I'm a velvet mitt virgin!!). The bottle of tan itself is €12.95 and the mitt is €5.95. No word of a lie this tan was the smoothest tan I have ever applied! Like zero streaks. Less than zero streaks. It literally glided onto my skin! Maybe the magic mitt had something to do with it, like I said, I'm a velvet mitt virgin so I'm not fully aware of the mitts capabilities. But whatever it was, the combination of mousse and mitt was so smooth, like something out of a Galaxy ad! Now the tan itself wasn't the darkest tan I've ever used, so if you're going full on mahogany this might be a tad light for you. But unlike some ot

My Week in Nerja

Image
Getting There... Nerja is a bit further afield than your normal tourist spots and it takes a bit of effort to get there, but it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth the visit! We flew into Malaga airport (paid about €250 each for return flights), from there we hopped on a train, which is right outside the airport, and took a 10 minute journey to  Malaga Zambrano Train Station . Just across from the train station is the bus station , your next mode of transport. The buses to Nerja are maybe every hour or so, but if you're left waiting there's a nice cafe bar in the bus station, which we greatly appreciated as we were starving! The bus journey to Nerja takes about an hour, and from there you can either walk to your accommodation or get a taxi. Top tip : Make sure you give yourself enough time to find your correct bus , as there's plenty of different buses at the station and the last thing you want to do is get the wrong one! Sweating after nearly missing the bus!
