Halloween Scene

Image
Halloween is only a few days away and even though there's no kids in my house, I'm still decorating for the occasion! I do have a big "Trick or Treat" sign on the halldoor, but inside the house things are a bit more creative  :) I was absolutely dying for the pumpkins to come into the shops so I could get started on the Halloween scene I had been planning!  I really only decorated my fire place and it was so quick, easy and cheap....and turned out fabulous! So if you like what you see all you need is a few pumpkins and about 20 minutes free time! First of all I gathered some leaves from my estate which of course are free, I tried to get different types and colours but there's only so much digging through leaves you can do, before you look like a crazy lady! I picked up the pumpkins from different supermarkets, the big one was €3 in Aldi and the smaller ones are 69cent in Tesco. To decorate the big one I bought two bunches of fake black flowers in EuroGiant for €1

Payday Purchases: River Island Bargains

Image
My payday purchases are very late this month, but fear not...they're worth the delay! This time round, my main aim was to stock up on warm tops that I could layer easily. Last year's knits were looking a bit shabby so new clothes were in order...not that I ever need an excuse to shop. Luckily for me the River Island sale just started and they always do great discounts. I was like a kid on Christmas day when my order arrived and of course the office got a quick fashion show :) The first thing in my shopping bag was this leopard print bat wing jumper for an amazing price of €14!!! I was so lucky with this as I had originally ordered it pre sale in a size 10 but it was huge so I returned it and ordered a smaller size for half the price the next day!! It's sweatshirt material and loose at the bottom, perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leather look leggings (if I had some). Next newbie is this cute knitwear jumper, the minute I saw it on the River Island website I knew I had t

Run A Muck Madness

Image
I'm sitting here on my sofa, with wet hair, in my onesie.... absolutely shattered!! As you can tell from the title of this post, I completed the Run A Muck challenge today! I'm sure you've heard of it before, but if not, it's exactly what it sounds like, running through muck. A 5k obstacle course of muck! And as you'll see by our faces, there was no shortage of muck! This picture was obviously before I started :)  In the weeks leading up to the challenge I had watched videos about it on YouTube and looked at the course map just to see what I was getting myself in for! There's me thinking I'd do a few obstacles and have a nice little run as well! I may have slightly underestimated how much muck was involved! The course was wet, mucky and then wet some more! I was flinging my body over bales of hay, climbing on top of tyre hills, just to slide back down into a wet mucky ditch and even tredging through deep ponds and under dark tunnels. There was tarzan ropes t
