The Body Shop Vitamin E Range

A few months back I had a Body Shop voucher that was literally burning a hole in my pocket. I just had to spend it! So one evening I popped into my nearest branch and was ready to buy whatever, anything, I didn't really care. I just wanted new things and had the equivalent of €50 to play with.

I think the Vitamin E range was new in store at the time (maybe 2-3 months ago) so my voucher plus some change got me three products. A cream cleanser, a night cream and a serum.


The main product I wanted to try was the cream cleanser, as this is generally the type of cleanser I use, and I'm always on the hunt for good ones. This turned out to be my favourite product from the range and one of the best cleansers I have used to date! First of all it smells amazing, not too fragrant but still nice and fresh. The cleanser removed every trace of makeup without leaving any residue on my skin. And the bottle is a decent size too, so it lasted ages.

After I used the cleanser I applied the serum. To be honest I come and go between using serums and even though this one was nice and light, I'd easily take it or leave it. I didn't really notice any major difference using it or when I wasn't using it.

The night cream was another great buy. A really smooth and creamy product that went on thick but absorbed evenly throughout the night. It felt really luxurious and even though the tub is small it lasts ages.

I am delighted my voucher went to good use and would glady buy the cleanser and night cream again. They were perfect for my (normal to oily) skin and really came out on top, compared to many of the other similar products in my vanity.

A few weeks ago, my sister treated myself and my Mam to afternoon tea in The Atrium Lounge in The Westin Hotel, for both our birthdays. And what a treat it was.... Make Up by Polish Hand & Foot Spa

As you may have seen from my millions of pictures on Facebook & Instagram , I got my make up done! This is so exciting for me because it's something I never do! If I'm going to a salon it's usually for nails or a blow dry, I just never think to get my make up done! And why wouldn't I? I do my own make up decent enough.....but let's be honest it's never anything special. So I was only delighted when I was given the opportunity to have someone else do it for me! I was invited to Polish Hand & Foot Spa to get my make up done yesterday evening, and it was such a lovely treat!! First of all Polish Spa on Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin is a very chic salon run by Leanne and Emma. For me (and probably most other people) the interior of a salon really adds to the experience and Polish Spa did not disappoint. Perfect Porto

Do you like sunshine? Do you like cheap wine and delicious food? We ll if so, make Porto your next stop! Our two hour flight to Porto was an absolute steal at €60 per person return (no checked bags) and with no time difference you pretty much pick up where you left off. It's a small enough city with a fairly uncomplicated  Metro system, so f or €2.60 you can get the 'E' line directly from the airport to the city (Trinidade stop) and you're there within 40 minutes. Literally no hassle at all. Usually myself and Dean like to stay in Airbnb's when travelling but as the rates were so cheap we 'treated' ourselves to a nice hotel. The  Exe Almada Hotel  is very modern, very central and the rooms were a bit bigger (and nicer) than most European city hotels. I have the hotel marked on the map below and anywhere from the hotel down to the water would be considered central (as you can see I've saved loads of bars and restaurants in between the hotel and the river)
