My Top 5 Makeup Brushes

The other day I was asked on Facebook what my top five makeup brushes were, initially I thought grand, I probably only use five anyway. But when I actually thought about it, I realised I could easily use five brushes for my base alone!!! I am by no means a makeup artist, but have come to the conclusion that I'm a makeup mega fan! So if the worst came to the worst and I could only use five makeup brushes, I'd pick these.....
1. Makeup Revolution Buffing brush

This brush is definitely a non essential, but I can't get enough of it!!! I use it after I've applied my foundation and concealer to just go that extra step to achieving a completely flawless finish.

2. Makeup Revolution Contour Brush

Once again this is a non essential but I do use it every day, yes I contour everyday!! I love the angle on this, it's perfect for a nice shadow under my cheekbones and fluffy enough so I can blend the bronzer in.




3. Crownbrush Fluffy Eyeshadow Brush

This is my go to brush for blending my eyeshadow, it has the perfect amount of fluffiness - without being too soft!




4. Ecotools Powder Brush

If you haven't tried Ecotools brushes (sometimes called Cala brushes) you're missing out! This brush is super soft, so is perfect for applying powder all over the face. and I've had this one for ages!! All it takes is a quick clean and it looks brand new!




5. Ecotools Eyebrow brush

While I was thinking about this list, it dawned on me that if things got really bad, I could probably put my make up on with my bare hands. But can you imagine doing your eyebrows with your bare hands? Just take a minute to think about that. So last but not least, one of my favourite makeup brushes is my beloved eyebrow brush. What would I do without it?!

Make Up by Polish Hand & Foot Spa

As you may have seen from my millions of pictures on Facebook & Instagram , I got my make up done! This is so exciting for me because it's something I never do! If I'm going to a salon it's usually for nails or a blow dry, I just never think to get my make up done! And why wouldn't I? I do my own make up decent enough.....but let's be honest it's never anything special. So I was only delighted when I was given the opportunity to have someone else do it for me! I was invited to Polish Hand & Foot Spa to get my make up done yesterday evening, and it was such a lovely treat!! First of all Polish Spa on Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin is a very chic salon run by Leanne and Emma. For me (and probably most other people) the interior of a salon really adds to the experience and Polish Spa did not disappoint.
