Hoilday Purchases
With my big American/Canadian holiday fast approaching I was in desperate need want of some fresh outfits! Unfortunately shopping for holiday clothes in August can be a bit tricky, my options were the dregs of the sale rail or completely unsuitable (but fabulous) Autumn/Winter pieces. Although San Francisco will have a very cool sea breeze the other parts of California are currently as hot as hell! But I managed to work with what I was I was given :)
The first shop I hit was Forever21, I really thought I'd be spoiled for choice here, but that was not the case! I didn't leave empty handed though, this lovely jacket was only €31.95 and it was pretty much calling my name, so I couldn't leave it behind! Perhaps not necessary for my holidays but it's extremely cosy and I'm sure I'll get plenty of wear out of it over the coming months. You can buy it here and I'd recommend you go for a size smaller, I bought an XS, probably the only thing in my wardrobe that size!

Next stop was H&M, a shop that does basics so well! As my holiday is pretty much a road trip, and I have been warned that the Canadian folk do not dress up at all, I want to keep my wardrobe pretty simple. But I do think us Irish find it hard to pare it back, so I picked up these three t-shirts to tuck into jeans or shorts and dress up with chunky jewellery and glitzy sandals.
As Arnotts was just across the way (and I was being drawn over by the Magnum window) I popped in for a visit. The only part of Arnotts I actually shop in is the section downstairs with Mango & Topshop. I picked up this lovely Topshop playsuit for €36, not bad considering everything else in there is completely overpriced!! It actually has a really nice fit, with a good bit of stretch in the material too! You can buy it from the Topshop website here.
There was also a new brand in Arnotts (well new to me) called Noisy May, where I picked up these lovely lace trimmed shorts. Yes, very similar to the playsuit, I know! I had to go for these in a size Large, so my thighs weren't being absolutely strangled by the lace! They are a bit big on the waist though, but beggars can't be choosers!
Penneys left my completely disappointed for clothes, but I did pick up a few nice beauty products and some lovely jewellery. This huge bronzer was only €2.50!!
And last but not least I picked up a pair of very comfy Toms from Schuh. These shoes are so comfortable and will be perfect for tackling the hills of San Francisco!
Make sure you keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram pages for more outfits pictures! :)
