My holiday plans!
I'm so excited to finally fill you's in on my big holiday plans! I have been tip toeing around this topic, on Facebook and Snapchat for a while now , but didn't want to spill the beans until everything was completely organised. So after months of planning and what felt like millions of hours searching for flights, accommodation and a car, I'm so glad I can finally say I have everything booked!
So where am I going?!
As you's know my sister Siobhan lives in Vancouver, and obviously I don't get to see her very often. So back in December the whole family decided we'd go visit her, on her new home ground. When the plan was only gathering motion myself and Dean saw this as a great opportunity to do some extra travelling while we're over that way....and then began the stressful task of planning our American roadtrip!
And this is the very long, but adventurous, route we're taking to get to Vancouver...

So in less than five weeks, Dean and I will be starting our journey by hopping on a flight to San Francisco, California. We were in San Francisco about five years ago and absolutely loved it so couldn't miss the opportunity to go back!
After spending two days there we will embark on a road trip like no other, up the West Coast of America, eventually ending up in Vancouver about eight days later! We're going to take our time driving up through California and Oregon, so we can take in the beautiful coastal views as well as visiting some sandy beaches and massive forests, all while soaking up small town America.
We were constantly changing our minds on what route we wanted to take and what towns we wanted to visit, but have happily decided on Ukiah, Eureka, Grants Pass and Eugene.....never heard of them?! Neither had I! They all look really cute but not too small to be boring, there's something worth visiting in every town!
We're looking forward to going to a few local bars and restaurants and hopefully seeing a different side of America, than the usual Times Square-esque places we've been to before. And I fully expect every small town to look exactly like Stars Hollow from The Gilmore Girls!

After our long drive through rural California we'll spend two nights in Portland, Oregon - the hipster capital of the world, before moving on up to Seattle, Washington for two days.

We'll meet up with my sister, her boyfriend and my brother for one night in Seattle before we all head to Vancouver. Once we arrive in Vancouver my parents will be flying in, and the whole family will get to spend about five days together.
I'm staying in eight different accommodations, half were booked through Airbnb and the other half through Booking.com (both websites were so handy for booking accommodation, I can't recommend them enough!). I've never used Airbnb before so am really excited to experience different kinds of accommodation including a house with a 300ft zip-line and this boat in Seattle....
So from now until then, I'm going to be a typical woman and spend the next few weeks shopping and getting my hair done so I can look utterly fabulous for the millions of photos I'm going to take! Let me know if you've been to any of these places and what you'd recommend :)
