Vinylux Nails @ Polish

How many times have you gotten Shellac done and two weeks later you've picked half it off, as well as the top layer of your nails? I'll be the first to admit I've done it plenty of times myself! Now I'm not slating Shellac, I absolutely love it, I'm just extremely lazy when it comes to getting it removed! 

So if you're like me, listen up while I educate you on 'Vinylux'. This revolutionary nail varnish brought to you by CND, the makers of Shellac, promises to last seven days and when you're done you can take it off yourself, with some good old nail varnish remover!! So does it actually last, or is it just like every other bottle of nail varnish, filled with empty promises? Luckily I got to opportunity to put it to the test!

I went to Polish on Lower Fitzwilliam Street, and got treated to a Vinylux manicure. Polish is a salon which is affiliated with CND so had pretty much every colour in the range, which is loads! I went for 'Creekside' as I've been wanting to try a pale blue nail varnish for a while now and most other salons didn't stock the shade I had in mind.

Leanne, the owner of Polish, explained to me that Vinylux is basically a handier version of Shellac. There's no UV light involved and that's what enables it to come off easier. The polish itself has a base coat built in so I only needed two coats and a top coat, all of which were bone dry in just ten minutes!

So did it actually last?

Still perfect!

It actually did!! After seven days of having it on it it's still nearly perfect, aside from one or two very small chips.
