Saturday Style Diary

I'm blonde again!! Over a year ago I decided to stop getting highlights and let my natural colour grow through. It wasn't an easy process, but I stuck with it.....until yesterday! I missed my blonde hair so much and my natural mousy brown hair, was just so disappointingly dull.....and I couldn't be having that! Before.... I went to a new local salon called Hair Culture by Cherry  that my friend recommended to me, and now I'm recommending it to you! Cherry knew exactly what I wanted and got the colour and cut spot on! She made me feel so comfortable there as I can be quite fussy with how I like my layers and fringe! I absolutely love the results and  feel like a new woman being blonde again! If you're looking for a change Cherry has a great offer on the minute, a full head of meche or balayage with treatment, cut and blowdry for €75, check out her Facebook page here  for more info! After Cherry's lovely salon I also got my nails done at Westpoint Beauty Nicole a

Lovin' Dublin

I know I've been banging on about my exams for ages but I'm just so glad to have them over and done with! So last weekend I made the most of my new found freedom and rediscovered Dublin. And what a weekend to soak up the atmosphere! The sun was shining, the marriage referendum was passed and (most of) Dublin was out celebrating!! So myself and Dean headed into town and had an absolute ball! So I said I'd fill you's in on what I got up to and share some of my favourite places to go in Dublin. Botanic Gardens - Glasnevin First of all this is free, it's also massive and only around the corner from where I work, so how I didn't know what was behind the gates is beyond me!  Now I'll be honest, the the weather was on our side for this and I don't think it would be as nice on a dull day. But myself and Dean had so much fun wandering around, trying to pronounce plant names, feeding squirrels and testing our pain threshold on cactus plants! The gardens and green

Wet n' Wild Summer Party

Image
What a great week to get back into blogging! On Wednesday evening I was lucky enough to attend  Wet n' Wild's  Summer Make-Up Party to celebrate the launch of their amazing new summer range. I have been a massive fan of this US brand since they came to Ireland last January (especially the nail varnishes!!) and the new range does not disappoint! The brand had a great set up in Bond Street Studios, which looked sooooo dodgy from the outside, but was transformed on the inside, to host an extremely cool summer party. Guests were treated to champagne, cupcakes & my all time favorite slush puppies! The room was beautifully decorated with giant balloons, floral displays, a projected video montage and a DJ playing some seriously amazing tunes! Of course I had one! :) All the tables had new products laid out for us to sample as well as a full display of everything on offer, and brand representatives to talk through the summer range.  There's so many colourful items in the colle

Revlon Nearly Naked Review

Image
I'm back on the blog.....yay!!! I have been studying my arse off for the last few weeks so unfortunately the blog had to take the backseat, as well as that I had no time to go anywhere or do anything, and I'm pretty sure no one wants to hear about accountancy!  Anyway.....as you many have seen on my Facebook page I'm going to do a quick review of Revlon's Nearly Naked foundation. I picked this up in Boots on Monday for a fiver, the usual price is €13.49. I flat out refuse to pay full price for a foundation, just to bring it home and find out it doesn't suit me! But with it being so cheap I couldn't resist! I bought it in shade 'Shell' as it looked similar to No.7's 'Warm Ivory' which I use a lot as well. Morning: So I applied this as I usually would with any other foundation. I started off with No.7's Essentially Beautiful moisturiser and a bit of Mac Prep & Prime on my t-zone. As you can see from the picture it's quite a liquid
