Payday Purchases: River Island Bargains

My payday purchases are very late this month, but fear not...they're worth the delay! This time round, my main aim was to stock up on warm tops that I could layer easily. Last year's knits were looking a bit shabby so new clothes were in order...not that I ever need an excuse to shop. Luckily for me the River Island sale just started and they always do great discounts. I was like a kid on Christmas day when my order arrived and of course the office got a quick fashion show :)

The first thing in my shopping bag was this leopard print bat wing jumper for an amazing price of €14!!! I was so lucky with this as I had originally ordered it pre sale in a size 10 but it was huge so I returned it and ordered a smaller size for half the price the next day!! It's sweatshirt material and loose at the bottom, perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leather look leggings (if I had some).

Next newbie is this cute knitwear jumper, the minute I saw it on the River Island website I knew I had to have it! This one is still full price (€45) but I just love it, the coffee cup is me all over! I'm a cappuccino addict! The sleeves are half leather, half knit and once again it's quite big. I still went for a size 10 in this one though. Here's the link for this exact one, but it comes in other colours too with nothing on the front, just in case coffee isn't your thing.

Another great bargain was this skater skirt, I usually go for plain colours on my bottom half to distract from my sizeable thighs but I said I'd give this a shot and luckily it's gorgeous on! And it was so cheap, only €9! I went with a size 12 in this one so it would sit lower on my hips and not be too short. I'm not quite sure what material it is though, it's not as loose as jersey and it's not as thick as scuba, it's a bit of a mix.

Ignore the toilet....my apartment has limited space so this was the only place the mirror would fit!
The bargains didn't stop there, this Breton style top was only €8! I have a lifetime supply of stripy tops but I just think they're timeless and so easy to wear! Once again this one is quite baggy and I went with a size 10 but I did find the sleeves a bit tight. I think this one is sold out though...sorry!!

Another great buy was this cap sleeve burgundy swing dress, it's still full price at €40 which isn't too bad. It's a classic autumn/ winter colour but a very versatile style. It comes in so many colours and prints and I got it in pink during the summer too, I think I could throw this on with anything day or night and get away with it.

That's all for now folks, but I'm sure I'll be hitting the shops again very soon :) Next payday I'll be on the hunt for a warm coat! If you like my outfits, keep an eye on my Instagram because I'm always posting pictures there!
