Weekend Roundup

With Christmas only three weeks away, the nights out are endless! If you're looking for some inspiration as to where to head with your friends, family or colleagues here's a quick taste of where I visited over the weekend:

On Friday night I headed out for dinner and drinks with my sisters and our other halves. We started off in Hogans, which is a fantastic place to start any night. It's a typical pub loved by all and is in close proximity to so many other great bars and restaurants including Nolita, Market Bar, Fade Street Social, No Name and Drury Buildings....just to name a few!

After one or two drinks in Hogans we headed to Fallon & Byrne for a quick prosecco. It was my first time in Fallon & Byrne and I'm already dying to go back! This bar looked like a great spot for a girly night or even a great place to go on a date, as you have to wait to be seated and drinks are served to your table. The food also looked amazing!

After that we headed a few doors down to The Green Hen for food. We had this booked in advance as it seems quite popular! It's a nice restaurant, nothing fancy about it, but the food was divine! I had lamb croquettes to start and duck for my main and they were inhaled! Between the four of us our plates were practically clean going back to the kitchen!

*Sorry for the lack of pictures, I was too busy inhaling!

For our digestif we strolled up Grafton Street and popped into Lemon & Duke (another first time visit for me). We got there shortly after 11pm and the place was busy enough with a few Christmas parties, but the music was brilliant and Dean was only delighted when he spotted one of the venues owner - Rob Kearney.

On Saturday, I took a brief break from the Christmas antics to have movie night with my Mam and sister but headed back into the city early Sunday afternoon.

We had a girls brunch booked in Cleaver East for Sunday afternoon. This is an extremely popular place for brunch but unfortunately it was only alright. There was a set Christmas menu of two courses for €25 (which had to be a starter and main) or three courses for €30. Like I said it was just grand, and what was most unfortunate was that they ran out of prosecco!

Next stop was Roberta's for a cocktail, another place I'm eager to revisit! This bar/restaurant is fabulous! The black, white, gold and marble design is an interior lovers dream! The restaurant part is off to one side, so you can have a nice sit down dinner or just pop by for drinks.

If that wasn't enough we also visited The Liquor Rooms which has always been a firm favourite of mine! I absolutely love the interiors and of course the cocktails!

Hopefully you'll enjoy these places just as much as I did!
