Hair by Daniel Sheridan @ Maven

I recently stepped out of my comfort zone, of going to the same hairdresser since I was sixteen, and went to the big smoke (Dublin city 😂😂) to visit Daniel Sheridan at Maven. 


The salon Daniel works in, Maven, is beyond incredible. It's in a very trendy space above Folkster in Temple Bar and is kitted out amazingly. Bright white walls with pops of colours throughout. Minimalist styling stations, with hanging down incandescent light bulbs and cosy seats for chatting with your stylist. And, thankfully, there is no shortage of tea or coffee!



Daniel used only the best in my hair - all KEVIN.MURPHY products. I've seen this brand mentioned in multiple magazines as being the best of the best. And not only do the products work wonders for your hair, they also look and smell amazing!


Daniel first topped up my highlights by using Kevin Murphy bleach. After rinsing he then used a toner which neautralises any brassiness in blonde hair. *Top tip, I also use a 'purple shampoo' every two or three washes, to keep my highlights looking fresh.


I also wanted something a bit different, so opted for a few stuble pinky, peach highlights as well. Daniel used another brilliant product for this - Colorphlex, which actually strengthens your hair instead of damaging it.


You can tell Daniel is a complete professional. He really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and talked me through every step of the process. And his skills don't only go as far as colouring. On my most recent visit he finished my hair with the GHD Curve which gave me beautiful, bouncy curls, something I thought my short hair could never achieve!


To say I'm happy with my hair is a huge understatement! I am my own #HairGoals! The colour is exactly what I wanted. A gorgeous bright, fresh and clean blonde!!

Make Up by Polish Hand & Foot Spa

As you may have seen from my millions of pictures on Facebook & Instagram , I got my make up done! This is so exciting for me because it's something I never do! If I'm going to a salon it's usually for nails or a blow dry, I just never think to get my make up done! And why wouldn't I? I do my own make up decent enough.....but let's be honest it's never anything special. So I was only delighted when I was given the opportunity to have someone else do it for me! I was invited to Polish Hand & Foot Spa to get my make up done yesterday evening, and it was such a lovely treat!! First of all Polish Spa on Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin is a very chic salon run by Leanne and Emma. For me (and probably most other people) the interior of a salon really adds to the experience and Polish Spa did not disappoint.
