Yoga at Holistic Nurture

Image
As you may have seen on Facebook or Snapchat, I've taken up yoga!  A new studio, called Holistic Nurture opened up near me and I was invited along to try my first ever yoga class! To be completely honest I didn't really know what yoga involved. Like, would the room be roasting hot? Is it as intense as a gym workout? Do I need to be able to twist my body into a pretzel shape?! Would I be the class eejit falling all over the place? Thankfully the answer to all of the above was no!   As I headed into the Holistic Nurture studio, on a miserable Saturday morning, I was delighted to be instantly relaxed by a clean, cosy room, dimly lit with a few strings of fairy lights and candles dotted around the room. The class started with some simple, slow movements and stretches. Not only were we moving our bodies but the instructor, Marion, also calmly and quietly reminded us that this was a time to forget about the hectic week we've had and let our bodies and minds completely relax. Drinks @Drop Dead Twice

So originally this blog post was supposed to be included in my 'boozy weekend in Dublin' post (on the way), but it was just so good that it deserved a blog post of its own! If you haven't heard of this bar yet - let me fill you in! Drop Dead Twice is a cocktail bar with a twist! Basically each person pays €20 and brings a bottle of their preferred spirit. Once there, a master mixologist whips up each guest five amazing cocktails using the drinks the group brought. You following? Now if you're wondering what you're paying for let me remind you these cocktails aren't your average Sex on the Beach type drinks. You're getting the good stuff! The staff there are passionate about what they're doing so work hard to come up with something delicious to suit your preference. You're also paying for the plenty of other ingredients used like marshmallows, fruit, whipped cream and sprinkles just to name a few! I went with a group of five girls and our selection o

Full Face Using Affordable Products

After buying a few bargain beauty bits in Boots (now there's a tongue twister for ya!!!) I decided to do yesterday's make up with just drugstore products. I'm no make up snob but I would usually incorporate brands such as Mac, Estee Lauder and Urban Decay into my daily make up routine.  It wasn't hard using products from cheaper brands, some of them are absolute essentials for me, and most importantly my make up lasted all day! Here's the look* I went for with a list of products used below. *It's the only 'look' I know! :)  Primer - Flormar's Illuminating Primer €9.95 - buy here Foundation - Seventeen's Stay Time Foundation in Sand €8.99 - buy here Concealer - Catrice Camouflage Concealer in Porcelain €3.95 - buy here Eyebrows - Catrice's Eyebrow Kit €4.50 - buy here Contour, Blush & Highlight - Sleek's Face Form Palette in  Light €14.49 - buy here Crease Eyeshadow - Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Palette €10.99 - buy here Lid Eyesh

Boots Beauty Haul

I feel like I spent the month of September using the last of all my products. How does everything run out at the same time?! So, a trip to Boots was in order! Here's a quick run through of what I couldn't go without for any longer.... Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Shampoo and Conditioner This shampoo is an essential product for highlighted hair! It does exactly what it says - neutralises brassiness. I only use the shampoo maybe every third or fourth wash and it's brilliant for keeping my hair nice and bright. The conditioner is an intensive treatment, which works wonders for dry ends. Seventeen Stay Time Foundation You'll have heard me talk about this bargain foundation before. I first bought it a few months back when it was reduced to 25 cent in my local Boots and I said feck it, I'll give it a go. Turns out it's brill (serious coverage) so I didn't mind paying the full €9 for it second time round. Seventeen Cheek Stamp When I bought that foundation there was a
