Rimmel Contour Kit Review

Trio contour kits like this are an absolute makeup bag staple! I have palettes like these coming out my ears, but of course wanted to try the latest offering from Kate Moss & Rimmel, when it was released a couple of months ago.

This palette looks just like the rest of them and has the usual products - highlighter, blusher and bronzer, but it is priced quite reasonably at only €8.95. One thing that caught my eye today was that Rimmel have numbered the products, but not it the order that I'd apply them, so I just did my own thing. (Who in their right mind would apply highlighter first?!)

Obviously I applied the bronzer first and well, bronzer is bronzer. A matte brown colour, pretty standard. It could have blended in more easily but all in all it's quite nice and most importantly not too dark!

On to the blusher, this is where the palette impresses me most. The blusher is super pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I got the 'Coral Glow' palette and the blusher is a lovely sunsety orange shade, it's not completely matte but has minimal shimmer.

As for the highlighter, it doesn't look much but actually applies really nicely. It's not the brightest highlighter I've seen but it is lovely for a more subtle glow.

From the pictures the palette looks a bit shit, dirty from the sellotape and the see through lid cheapens the look, but all in all the palette applies well and the colours really compliment each other. It is a great little palette and super handy to have. I have always loved the products Rimmel make in collaboration with Kate Moss and this one doesn't disappoint.
