My Christmas Home!

First things first.....Christmas decorations are so feckin' expensive and you need loads to make any home look half decent, so thanks Mam for starting my collection! As you may know, I only moved into my apartment this year so my collection of decorations was non existent! I'll definitely be stocking up on more decorations during the sales! But for now here's a peek into my home so you can see what I do have!

Here's my tree...lets be honest it's not exceptional, but there's not really much room for anything bigger :( So I'm all about the other decorations dotted around the apartment to give the place a Christmassy feel.

These are sitting on my mantle piece like three best friends, the middle guy is from Penneys (€4 I think!) and the other two are from Yankee Candle.


The tea light candle holders are €2 in EuroGiant.

I absolutely love these decorations below, very understated and cheap too! They're from that shop Old World New which is a great little spot in Temple Bar which sells quirky home wares. The big ones were two for €8.50 and the smaller one was about €4, the candle holder was from Dunnes, also about €4.


This is another decoration from Old World New, only €2.95 and that's full price!


And this lovely door sign is only €4 in Penneys.


How cute are these little Santa's? They're half price in Arnotts for €6.95 each and are made of clay so would look great in the garden too.....if I had one!


 Now I know this wall decoration might look old fashioned but I love it!! The lights gently glisten and have a lovely effect, very Christmassy!


And this I made myself!!! It's a DIY gingerbread house that I picked up in Tiger for €3! But no...you can't eat this one!


And of course it wouln't be Christmas without chocolate!



So a word to the wise, if you're planning on moving out next year stock up on decorations now so you don't have to spend a fortune this time next year!

Make Up by Polish Hand & Foot Spa

As you may have seen from my millions of pictures on Facebook & Instagram , I got my make up done! This is so exciting for me because it's something I never do! If I'm going to a salon it's usually for nails or a blow dry, I just never think to get my make up done! And why wouldn't I? I do my own make up decent enough.....but let's be honest it's never anything special. So I was only delighted when I was given the opportunity to have someone else do it for me! I was invited to Polish Hand & Foot Spa to get my make up done yesterday evening, and it was such a lovely treat!! First of all Polish Spa on Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin is a very chic salon run by Leanne and Emma. For me (and probably most other people) the interior of a salon really adds to the experience and Polish Spa did not disappoint.
